The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. They answer the phone quickly and followed up with all my requests. I especially liked the hand written note sent to my home after my surgery by Dr. Clark. It’s a nice thing to do and he’s a busy dr. that takes the time to let you know he’s thinking of you. He also made a point of seeing me after at my follow up visit to discuss and answer any questions I might have had.

I was told by another practice, casually, my diagnosis. No follow-up from them. I was referred to Cary Skin Center. From the first call I was treated like a valued client. The office staff was warm and welcoming. I waited approximately 30 seconds before I was brought back. The surgeon, Dr Clark, is skilled and has a great bedside manner. Waiting between procedures was minimal. The results look fantastic. The surgeon sent me a lovely thank you card, written in beautiful handwriting. I recommend them with the highest praise.

I went to the Cary Skin Center for Mohs surgery. Dr. Ingraffea and staff were very professional and courteous. With Dr. Ingraffea’s skill as a mohs micrographic surgeon, it appears that all of the Basal cell skin cancer is gone. It has now been 30 days and the scar is healing nicely, even better than I expected. Thank you.

From the front desk, to the nurse who sees you to a room and makes you comfortable, to the doctor (Dr. Clark in my case), to the follow through explaining everything that they are doing and how to care for your surgical area. I recently had my 3rd Mohs surgery here. While facial surgery is no one's idea of fun, they really do make it as pleasant as possible. Everyone from the front desk to the medical staff is friendly and professional. They get you in right on schedule, take the time to explain everything, and make sure there's no discomfort. They also do an amazing job with the stitches if needed, a few weeks later and it's like they were never there. Definitely 5/5 stars.

The service and staff have been excellent. I have had many procedures at the Cary Skin Center over the years. All have been successful. However, this current visit may have well saved or at least prolonged my life. Dr Ingraffea, my Mohs surgeon, noticed a significant depression on the top of my head and was concerned enough to send me for an emergency CAT scan. That CAT scan indicated that there were significant problems so much so that he transferred my care to Dr Myers at the UNC Basnight Cancer Center. Without his alert observation I would never have realized I had a major problem. For that, I am forever grateful.

Biopsy Site Photos Needed For Appointments

You should send a marked photo of the biopsy site immediately upon making an appointment with our office. Biopsy site should be clearly marked on the photo. Adequately marked photos of the biopsy site are absolutely critical to scheduling surgery.

Send site photos in .JPG format via e-mail to photo@caryskincenter.com (type patient’s D.O.B. and initials in subject line).

About Cary Skin Center

In 1998, Dr. Robert Clark established the Cary Skin Center, a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical center specializing in Mohs Surgery for the removal of skin cancer. Dr. Adam Ingraffea joined Cary Skin Center in 2018. Together they have successfully treated countless patients in the Triangle and surrounding areas.

Cary Skin Center welcomed our latest surgeon, Dr. Joshua Eickstaedt, to the practice in August 2023.

Because Mohs surgery is a highly complex and sophisticated surgical method, it requires extensive training. Our doctors have completed intensive training programs, including complex surgical cases and advanced reconstructions, to become Fellows of the American College of Mohs Surgery. In addition, they offer over 50 years of combined Mohs surgery experience.
